1.Strong Backpack (preferably with side straps for your tripod, but not necessary).

2.Pochade box or palette box
3.Tripod
4.Carrying case for your panels. Raymar makes great lightweight ones.
5.Brushes: Bristols- #10, 8, 6, 4, 2 Sables- #10, 6, 4, 2 (also a few small watercolor sables for details)
6.Palette knives: One medium trowel shape (3 in. ) and one small trowel shape knife. (1/2 -3/4 in)
7.Small pair of pliers. I like the leatherman multi-tool.
8.Stuff-able lightweight rain coat. (I have mine stuffed into the bottom of my backpack at all times)
9.Painting hat with brim. (I have a black one that I can shove into my bag if need be.)
10. 4 Clamps, You can buy these at Home Depot. I get the medium size clamps.
11. Small first aid kit. (This comes in handy. Also, you might want to pick up the new kind of liquid band aids that seal cuts and do not come off. this also keeps paint and other undesirables from getting in there. It has worked for me a number of times. )
12. Small sketch book and Digital Camera
13. 1 - Medium C-clamp ( this is for repairs or anything else you may need to clamp in the field
14. metal container for cleaning your brushes. (I have a Holbien sealable container)
15. The necessary tool or tools that fit your Tripod and pochade box for unexpected repairs. (I bring an allan wrench and one nut driver)
16. MIRROR!!!!! (one of those approx. 8x10inch jobs with handle)
