Anne Hruza

Born and raised in England, Anne won recognition for her artwork in school.  However, school ended at age 16 and she left home to work as a laboratory technician.  Armed with a degree in chemistry, Anne moved to Michigan to work as a Chemist to “see the world first hand for a couple of years.” Forty+ years later, married and an American citizen, Anne retired from her position as a Quality Control Manager for a major flavor and fragrance company. Now, with sufficient time available, she enjoys watercolors and photography.

Anne is an active member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury and Ocean County Artists Guild. Her love of travel allows her to “see the world one picture at a time”. She and her husband live on Barnegat Bay in Brick, and the ever-changing scenery on the Bay provides a rich source of subject material.

Anne won First Place and Best in Show in the Amateur Art contest at the 2007 Ocean County Decoy Show and was accepted for the third year to exhibit at the 2008 Festival of the Arts in Shrewsbury, NJ. Her specialty is watercolor house portraits.
