Watercolor lessons at the Ocean County Artists Guild in Island
Heights started Beverly on her painting career sixteen years ago.
She now pursues her talents through teaching, judging, demonstrations
and workshops. Her memberships include the American Artists Professional
League, New Jersey Miniature Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Club,
New Jersey Watercolor Society (as a board member) and numerous art
groups. In addition, Beverly has won national, state and regional
awards in juried shows. Although she uses a wide range
of subjects to paint, locally she is known for her beach, boat,
boardwalk and duck paintings. Crickett's, Seaside Park, NJ is presently
handling her works. This past spring Cablevision of NJ sponsored
her in a special program featuring her paintings and a watercolor
demonstration.
In 1994 she was asked to join the Protean Design Group as a textile
designer. The Protean Group's sheets, pillows and textile designs
are featured at JC Penny and in the Domestications catalog. Recently
she has expanded her efforts into custom interior design by completing
the G Tech (an international lottery company) Mexico corporate offices.
The completed interior design included a twenty foot wall of "CARP-ART",
an abstract design made by levels of texture of carpets, and a free
form painted wall display featuring five original hand-made sand
castings as well as numerous original watercolors, including an
eight foot diptych of parrots. Beverly has been contracted to complete
a series of paintings for G Tech Argentina.
Other interior efforts have been in the form of mural designs
in a variety of subject matter in both commercial and private facilities.
A twelve foot snow scene was displayed in a "Design House"
in Toms River, NJ October 1999. Her Paintings are included in many
private and corporate collections.
